Tampa Couples Photographer - One Year and Counting...

Meet Erin and Minh. Erin and Minh have been married for a year now. And Erin and Minh are a lot of freaking fun!

These two are good friends of Beryl, so when she was down visiting from VA, they allowed us to celebrate their anniversary with them...by running around Curtis Hixon Park in the hot-hot-heat, pointing a bunch of cameras on them like they were true celebrities, making them jump up and down until they couldn't stop laughing, but most importantly, by capturing this awesome time in their lives. No longer "newly weds," Erin and Minh have not lost that sweet look in their eyes and that loving smile that can melt your  heart. And, as you can see in the pictures, they certainly know how to make each other laugh.

We were all so happy that you shared your day with us. May your lives together bring you many, many more years of love and laughter (somehow, I don't think this will be a problem!).

Tampa Maternity Photographer - Beryl and Her Aborable Belly!

Beryl recently flew down from Virginia to visit some of her close friends and for a quick Launch workshop reunion at the Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa. Lucky for all of us, Beryl was about 30 weeks pregnant and looked absolutely beautiful when we caught up with her, and she was generous enough to sit on the other side of the camera so we could grab some fun shots of her and soon-to-be baby girl.

Beryl is just one of those people that you meet and feel instantly comfortable with - like you've been friends for a long time. If you are in the Virginia area and are looking for an amazing photographer, please check her out - BeYoung Photography. Her work is simply beautiful!

Beryl, thanks for pulling us all back together and for letting us capture this special time in your life. Best wishes for you, your family and your little one on the way :)

St. Petersburg Baby Photographer - Baby R. is Here!

Some of you may remember my maternity session with Suzy and Jared. Baby R. arrived within a few weeks of that photo shoot and he's every bit as cute as we thought he'd be! Suzy and Jared are the sweetest parents - and you can tell that Baby R. is going to be a soccer player before we know it. Taking Baby R.'s photos really reminded me of how little my little Baby L. used to be. Little feet, little toes, little noises. They grow so quickly. Congrats Suzy and Jared! You all are amazing and so is your new little one :)

Tampa Family Photographer - One day we'll be family...officially that is.

Every now and then in life you find a friend that becomes a permanent part of who you are. You may not talk every day, but you feel like you did. You may live what seems like hours apart, but it's worth the drive. You have no doubt that if you call them, if you need them, they will be there. The good, the bad, the horribly embarrassing moments - you share, you love, you support, you create traditions and you know that 10, 20, 30 years from now...you will still be friends...or better yet family.

Well, I'm lucky enough to have found Amyra, or really I guess that she found me.  It was my first week at a new job and this girl walked up to me and, as I like to remember it, she said, "You're gonna be my friend. Let's go on break." Now, I know that wasn't the exact wording, but we've been friends every since, so whatever she said to me must have worked. What do details really have to do with it anyway?

So, here we are, 8 or 9 years later, and I can honestly say that I couldn't imagine my life without Amyra. She's one of the best people I know. I could go on for hours about how great she is, but instead I'll just simply say that she is one of my very best friends (so, she has to be awesome, right?)

Because we like to do things together, Amyra and I were lucky enough to have our babies almost exactly three months apart. I had a girl, Baby L., and she had a boy, Baby M. They, of course, will be married one day and make this whole family thing official. It's already decided. But, until then I have to say, watching one of your very best friends have a child is an amazing thing. Baby M. makes all of Amyra's faces (and there are a lot of them, trust me!). He's a perfect mix of Amyra and her husband, James - both in looks and personality. But, I have to tell you the coolest thing is seeing the connection between Amyra and Baby M. Maybe it's because I'm at the same stages with Baby L., but it's so amazing to see them together, like "two peas in a pod," as my grandmother used to say. I'm so happy for her, and I'm so glad that we've gotten to share these special moments in our lives together.

Now, enough of my mush...let's get to the pictures. I met up with Amyra and Baby M. at Madeira Beach in St. Petersburg, FL. We just hung out, played on the beach and caught some of those special moments I was gushing about. Amyra, I love you. Thank you for letting me be part of this day with you two.
