Tampa Family Photographer - So Much Love.

I love spending a day with a family to capture how much they love each other. This family was no exception. You can simply feel the love they have for each other - so many sweet little moments. Melissa and Scott are such great people ... and such amazing parents. Just spending the morning with them I could tell how much the adore their daughter ... and each other. And Little A. - don't get me started on Little A. I really don't understand how one little girl can be so cute and so sweet. Seriously, she's adorable. Enjoy these special shots. I probably went overboard on the blog post, but I just couldn't resist sharing these. Melissa and Scott - thanks for letting me be a part of this day with you all.

Tampa Family Photographer - The Sweetest Thing.

I love cake.

Especially birthday cake.

Even more so if it's birthday cake from Sweetie's Delights Bakery.

This sweet shop is the best in the area, and I was lucky enough to have them create my birthday cake this year. Naturally, I wanted to do something complicated, like, oh I don't know ... make a camera ... that you can eat. Sweetie's didn't even bat an eye at this challenge. Just look at the final masterpiece. Believe it or not, that whole thing is edible. And trust me, I know. I think I ate that cake for every meal until it was gone (which wasn't long in my house)!

So, I'm telling you, you need to check out this bakery. Do it. And just for a little extra icing on top, if you get your birthday cake, baby shower cake, smash cake, etc. from Sweetie's Delights, Howie Mac Photo is offering 10% off you entire photo purchase for capturing your special day! Now that's a sweet deal. (I know. I'm a dork.)

Here are the pics of my birthday cake, long gone. Now I need to find another reason to order more cake.

Tampa Portrait Photographer - Here's to Good Friends.

I know I'm repeating myself when I say this, but every now and then, you find people who you truly can't imagine your life without. People that transcend the meaning of "friend" and quite simply become family. Well, somehow I was lucky to land two of these family members at one time. The two of them keep me going throughout the day and have been my biggest supporters of my launching Howie Mac Photo. Not only do they give me advice and pick me up when I've fallen down (both physically and emotionally!), they've helped me build my business.

Jess has helped with my writing - making sure that I don't sound like a fool, or at least letting me look like the dork that I really am without risking too much embarrassment. She's pushed me to be myself and do what I felt was right. She's inspired me, given me feedback, hugged me and made me laugh. Jess was one of the first people to say "You should do this." She's amazing.

And, Emily. Emily has basically created Howie Mac Photo. I don't remember what I envisioned it would look like before she was involved. The branding, the style, the look. She's sat with me for hours while I move this picture here or swap this one for another. She's been patient and kind and creative and awesome. She's volunteered her dog, her neighbor, her spare time, herself. She's starting her own venture - Emmaloo Creative (for branding, design, wedding invitations, you name it). She's amazing.

Point blank. I love them. They are amazing. They are great friends. They are family to me and my family. I honestly don't think that I'd be where I am today if I had not met them three years ago. So, to that, I say - Thank you friends. I love you.

And, because they are amazing, they humor me by going on location scouts and posing in pics, even when they don't want to. But, it just so turns out that they are just as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside. Here are a few from our recent venture to Fred Howard Park:

Tampa Family Photographer - B is for Birthday!

I love birthday parties - not only for the cake, but also for the amount of love that surrounds someone on their special day. Baby L.'s first birthday party was no exception. This little guy has a great family and sweet friends who all simply adore him (he's pretty irresistible).  And his parents! His parents are awesome - so funny and so sweet. He's got to be one of the luckiest little guys to be so loved by so many people.

So, Baby L.'s first birthday party was classic and relaxed - and it was all about the alphabet! Everything from the invitation to the flash cards hanging from a clothesline at the party to the homemade cookie party favor featured this adorable theme. John and Nicole did such a great job putting together this celebration. Thanks so much for letting me be part of this special day!

And probably my favorite part of all. P is for PICTURE! As you've seen in previous sessions, Baby L. has a head FULL of beautiful hair. So, to celebrate these curly locks of awesomeness, John and Nicole decided to do a photo booth ... with wigs ... that look like Baby L.'s hair!!! I can't tell you how sad I am going to be when he gets a hair cut, but we will always have these hysterical pictures to remember how he rocked his locks during year one!
